REVIEW: The Nowhere Girls

I LOVED THIS BOOK! This book is based on 3 characters, Grace, Erin and Rosina who decide that the rape culture that has persisted in their school for years needs to be put to an end. Grace is new to town and lives in the house formerly owned by the family of a girl named Lucy. She was raped at a party and ostracized by the town so they had pretty much no choice but to move away. Grace’s mom is a fairly liberal Christian Minister. Her family moved due to her mother’s liberal views were ostracized from… Read more »

Healing Hiatus!

I want to apologize to you all for my lack of posting these many weeks. I know my regulars are used to pauses here and there but not this long! For those of you who have not read my bio page, I have something called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. In my sleep some weeks ago I had a full body spasm as I was falling asleep that snapped both my tibias all the way through as well as a clean through fracture of my humerus (upper arm bone) at the very top near my shoulder.  I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and… Read more »

REVIEW: The Most Dangerous Thing

First I would like to issue a public apology to the author of this title Leanne Lieberman. I was to review this as part of a review tour and unfortunately, due to midterms, I was not able to finish the book by the deadline. In the future, I plan to not to sign up to do reviews that fall the week of any major test.  I am glad I took the time to finish the novel before posting my thoughts because this book was worth it! This title for me was a very welcome change from the traditional YA romance…. Read more »

REVIEW: Seven Days of You

I am not usually a fan of romance titles and am very picky when it comes to the type of romances I do like.  Some of my particulars are it can’t be too mushy and it can’t be too predictable.  I was pleasantly surprised by SDoY! I hated moving around a lot when I was younger for my parent’s job and could totally relate to Sophia and how she felt about having to move back to the states.  Being ripped away from your friends like that is never easy.   The shorter timeline of this novel also interested me. I wondered before… Read more »

REVIEW: Aftermath by Clara Kensie

I enjoyed this book soooooo much! I fell for the charlotte from the first chapter. She had been put through so much by the man who abducted her. What kept her going was dreaming of her family going about their lives safe and sound. Including her twin who she hoped was going after all the goals they put in their “dream book”. When this book begins, Charlotte is found by the police and taken to the hospital.  Soon after getting there she sees her parents again. She wants nothing more than to go home with them and see her sister… Read more »
