Sophia has seven days left in Tokyo before she moves back to the States. Seven days to say good-bye to the electric city, her wild best friend, and the boy she’s harbored a semi-secret crush on for years. Seven perfect days…until Jamie Foster-Collins moves back to Japan and ruins everything.
Jamie and Sophia have a history of heartbreak, and the last thing Sophia wants is for him to steal her leaving thunder with his stupid arriving thunder. Yet as the week counts down, the relationships she thought were stable begin to explode around her. And Jamie is the one who helps her pick up the pieces. Sophia is forced to admit she may have misjudged Jamie, but can their seven short days of Tokyo adventures end in anything but good-bye? (less)
I am not usually a fan of romance titles and am very picky when it comes to the type of romances I do like. Some of my particulars are it can’t be too mushy and it can’t be too predictable. I was pleasantly surprised by SDoY! I hated moving around a lot when I was younger for my parent’s job and could totally relate to Sophia and how she felt about having to move back to the states. Being ripped away from your friends like that is never easy. The shorter timeline of this novel also interested me. I wondered before I read if it would feel rushed, but luckily it was the perfect pace. All in all this story was an enjoyable read and if you like a sweet, but not to mushy romance I suggest you pick up this book!
