Are review really important? When was the last time you saw a great movie? Recently, my husband and I saw American Sniper. Controversy aside, it was a truly fantastic portrayal of one soldier’s hardships in the face of unbelievably gut-wrenching decisions, life and death decisions that made me even more grateful to the men and women who make sure I have the freedom to go see a movie on Saturday afternoon. The first thing I did after leaving the theater? Posted my opinion on Facebook.  Twelve people “liked” my post and several left comments. But the last time I… Read more »

Review & Blitz: The truth about jack by Jody Gehrman

When I heard that Entangled Publishing was adding a sub genre to their teen imprint, I’m not going to lie I was skeptical. Teen romance novels for me are hit or miss, but I wanted to give this novel the chance. So, I sat down and gave this book a shot.  I am glad that I took the time because I actually really enjoyed this book! Jody did a great job putting this story together and I enjoyed the fact that (maybe spoiler alert?) when Dakota gets her heart broken she doesn’t shut her heart off completely, which gives… Read more »

Rewiew: Virtual Arcana Books 0-3

A few months ago I found this series via the great people at Netgalley (if you haven’t been there you need to check it out!) offered by the author herself.  Recently she put out a box set of the first 4 books. The story centers around a set of twins living in a post-apocalyptic and high tech world world where even caffeine intake is regulated. One of of the aspects about this series that I like is how it follows the order of the Major Arcana (in tarot) and the cards in it. Starting with 0 which is the fool…. Read more »
